DDS
Ngoc-Lan (Diana) Huynh, DDS
Born in Augusta, Georgia, Ngoc-Lan (Diana) Huynh, DDS is a board certified dental surgeon with a passion for art and science. Eventually, she discovered the best way to combine her two passions was a career in dentistry. She attended the Georgia Institute of Technology for her pre-dental studies, majoring in Biology. She then attended the University of Tennessee Health Center College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She has also completed the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program.
While in dental school, Dr. Diana became a member of the American Student Association and earned such awards as the Chancellor’s Diversity Scholarship Award, the Pierre Fauchard Academy Oral Health Foundation Student Scholarship Award and the Eleanor J. Bushee Award. She has also done volunteer work through a Dental Mission Trip to Ecuador, as well as through North Charleston Dental Outreach and Give Kids a Smile.
In her free time, Dr. Diana can be found reading and exercising. She also enjoys painting, sewing, knitting, hiking, biking and kayaking (when the weather cooperates). She also loves spending time with her dog Bear, who is the perfect combination of cute, fluffy and smart.
DDS
Lawrence Lu, DDS
Dr. Lawrence Songyuan Lu grew up in Clarksville, Tennessee. He realized he wanted to be a dentist during his high school years. Dr. Lu’s then best friend lost a tooth while playing soccer and he witnessed how much pain and distress his teammate was in. After his friend’s dentist repaired and healed the tooth in the very same day- Dr. Lu knew that’s what he wanted to do when he grew up.
Dr. Lu attended The University of Tennessee at Martin, where he majored in Chemistry and minored in Biology. He continued on to the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in May of 2019.
Staying active in the community is important to Dr. Lu. He is a member of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity and Hispanic Student Dental Association. During college, he also volunteered at the Remote Area Medical (RAM) Clinic and Mid-South Mission of Mercy (MidMOM), in addition to completing a mission trip to Ecuador in 2018.
In his free time, Dr. Lu enjoys running, hiking, outdoor activities, and has even completed a distance marathon. He also enjoys playing the guitar and loves dogs!
Hygienists
Jessica Payne, RDH
Jessica Payne is a board-certified Registered Dental Hygienist dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care. She graduated Cum Laude from Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tennessee, earning her degree in Allied Health with a focus in Dental Hygiene. During her time there, she served as class president and was recognized with both the Academic Award and the Outstanding Dental Hygiene Student award. She is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Jessica is licensed to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, and she remains committed to professional growth, receiving the Professional Growth Award from Simply Hygiene in 2016. She has also volunteered her time providing care at Remote Area Medical clinics, reflecting her passion for serving others.
Originally from Copperhill, Tennessee, she is blessed to be able to serve her home as a clinician at Dental Partners for almost 10 years.
Jessica has been married for nearly 13 years and is a proud mother of two sons. Outside of the office, she enjoys watching her boys play sports, relaxing on her porch, and spending time at church.
Bethany, RDH
Bethany graduated from Chattanooga State in 2017 with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys getting to know her patients and building lasting relationships while providing personalized, high-quality care. She believes education is essential to oral health and takes the time to make sure each patient feels informed, comfortable, and well cared for.
Known for her attention to detail, Bethany strives to make every visit a positive one. She is especially passionate about helping patients with dental anxiety feel at ease and works to create a calm, reassuring experience from start to finish. Her goal is for every patient to leave feeling cared for and smiling with confidence.
Outside of the office, Bethany is a busy mom of three and spends much of her time at the ball fields cheering on her kids. She loves running, reading, sipping coffee, spending time at the lake during the summer, and playing pickleball.
Amanda, RDH
Amanda earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the Medical College of Georgia in 1999. She brings 27 years of clinical experience to her patients where she is known for providing thorough, patient-centered care. Her primary focus is delivering high-quality, compassionate services while helping her patients feel comfortable, informed & well cared for. Building lasting relationships with her patients is the ultimate reward.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, being near the ocean, running & reading. She truly feels that she is living out her calling in life & considers it an honor to care for her patients.
